Auld Reekie Rare Grind (ARRG) 

A 3-night weekend of blues and fusion dance parties in Edinburgh (Auld Reekie) on 15-17 July 2022.

As The Spoonful is not going ahead this year ARRG is planned to happen (with The Spoonful team’s blessing) on the first weekend of the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival so there will be plenty of things to do during the days. 

Schedule:
Friday 7pm – 1am
Saturday 8pm – 3am with live music from Ali Affleck & band
Sunday 8pm – 1am with live music from Hot Tin Roof
Bands start at 8.30pm so come early!

Like previous events that we have run, the music will be mostly blues (about 70%) with the fusion element being any non-blues music that we think you’ll like to dance to.

COVID
We will be testing daily and ideally we would like you to do the same.  However we understand that tests are no longer free or legally required and may not be feasible for everyone.  To help protect the other dancers we ask that if you have any symptoms which could be COVID please do not attend.
Note that the hall has opening windows and we ask that you leave them open so that we have good ventilation.
